Valentine’s Day Tea Party with Heart Waffles

Do you enjoy tea parties? They are so fun, and we usually do poetry tea time weekly, so this week we decided to make pink heart shaped waffles for our Valentine's Day Tea Party, and decorate with a heart theme!Because our waffle maker is a flower shape, with 5 small heart petals, making heart waffles was a natural choice, and I added pink food coloring to the batter for the perfect touch.

French Hot Chocolate for Valentine's Day

The special drinks for our occasion was the 'French hot chocolate” from the Build Your Masterpiece Class France week 1. And Paris being such a romantic destination and chocolate of course make it Oh so Valentiney!

Valentine's Day Tea Party Table Decorations

I did a cutesy setup using a red striped piece of fabric as a table cloth. And cut heart shapes out of a bright pink felt for the place-mats. So underneath the places mats I added large crochet doily's to add a lacy look. The center piece is a 2 tier cake stand and I scoured our house for anything heart shaped. And pink and red items and anything that has hearts on it.  So I arranged them on the 2 tiers and placed it on our table set back a bit.

French Decorations

Luckily I remembered that we made wire Eiffel towers in our Adventures in France Week 1 with The Build Your Masterpiece Class and used that as our table decorations too for a French vibe.I have included our Waffle recipe in case you'd like to make yours from scratch.
