Art Project: Nature Inspired Foil Transfer Art
This chapter talks a lot about the beautiful nature where Louis calls home in Canada. Let's create some nature inspired art today. Supplies Needed: Card-stock or Sturdy Paper, Permanent Marker, Washable Markers, Spray Bottle Filled with Water, Aluminum Foil. Using your Permanent market, draw your nature inspired art work with lines on card stock. Flatten your foil and draw on the surface with your washable color markers, in an abstract color pattern. Spray with water to dampen the ink slightly, then place your art work face down on the colored foil. Pat down and rub the paper gently to be sure the colors transfers. Gently lift up the paper from the foil and leave in a safe place to dry. Write or dicate a story about your art work. Perhaps it's about the pond where Louis lives, or a place you love in nature. Optional: Continue this project over and over to create a series of art work inspired by this book.
