Art Project:Paper Plate Swan
Supplies:
White Paper Plate
Scissors + Glue
1 Googly Eye
small piece of orange construction paper
optional: feathers, glitter, paint
Begin by finding the middle of your paper plate, and cut in half until you reach the ridges of the paper plate, to create the body of the Swan. Then, follow up along the ridge of the paper plate, until you reach you first cut. Save the piece you just cut out for later; this can be used as a wing by cutting out the shape of a wing, and cutting a few slits along the side and glue to the body of the swan.
Next, round out the end of the ridge of the plate to make the head of the swan. Then cut a small triangle piece of paper, either orange construction paper or orange colored paper, to make the beak of your swan and glue from behind.
Add on a googly eye, or draw one. You can add glitter, paint, or feathers to your swan if you’d like.
