Chapter 3: The Wild Wood
Today we are reading chapter 3 of "Wind in the Willows"and this chapter is titled "The Wild Wood", and in it, we learn more about the Mole and his adventure he took through the Wild Wood, to find his friend the Badger and his home. On this trip, it became dark, and the trees of the forest were playing tricks on him and he continued to see eyes in the dark, in small holes and then they would disappear. It was a very scary and spooky trip he took.

Let's be inspired by how Mole felt while he was walking through the Wild Wood seeing the eyes in the dark.
Supplies Needed:
Black Construction Paper
Oil Pastels
After reading and listening to this 3rd chapter of the Wind in the Willows, let's take a look at this photo of Mole, running through the Wild Wood, with the eyes in the dark around him.
Take your construction paper and your pastels. Draw some trees, Mole, and most importantly, eyes staring out at him through the dark.
Add as much detail as you can remember, and have fun with this slightly spooky artwork today.
