Recipes Inspired by the Hydra Dragon:
Hydra Kiwi & Kale Smoothie Recipe:
In this book, we meet a 4 headed dragon, that is GREEN and breaths a green poison mist. In this recipe, you will make a yummy smoothie that can be made in advance, and frozen, or enjoyed right then! Plus, if you cut the banana in quarters, you can talk about how the dragon has 4 heads!
Ingredients:
1 tbsp flaxseed meal
1/2 cup kale or baby spinach, washed and tightly packed
1 ripe kiwi peeled and diced 1 ripe banana (in 4 quarters)
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tsp raw honey, or munk fruit liquid or classic, optional
ice if desired
Steps:
Measure out your flaxseed meal, 1/2 cup kale or baby spinach, 1 kiwi, and your 1 banana, cut into 4 chunks. Add to your blender with 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk, and honey, or other milk or sweeteners of choice plus some ice. Wiz up, and enjoy! Tip: You can always make any smoothie your child enjoys green by adding in some baby spinach, or kale as well! :)
