We love these Toy Ants, to count and play with.

I wanted to share some ways we were using this pack for math connections:

I cut out the ant counters two by two, and paired them up with the ant counting cards 1-12, and we worked on counting by 2’s, and also played marching ants in a line, a little faster then one by one!

I paired up the toy ant counters and our Homeschool Embroidery Kit from Knowlecraft Embroidery Etsy Shop, for fine motor skill strengthening, and art connections, plus spelling A is for Ant. The letter pattern we are using is from our Masterpiece Alphabet. The life cycle of a Leaf Cutter Ant Montessori 3 Part Cards are included too for a fun multi-subject lesson.

Also featured here, is the Free Printable of the Ant Life Cycle Cards from @silvanreverie. You can find all their free printables here. Our Life cycle cards are all in black and white, so your children can add color for an increased fine motor skill activity and art project!

Educational Videos About Ants:

Our kids (8-9 years old) love learning about Ants, and have a few favourite videos of ants that they wanted me to include for you, as well as recommend you check out the YouTube Channel, Ants Canada. He owns many Ant Colonies, and shares so much advise about Ants, how to care for Ants, and much more. He mainly keeps Fire Ants.
